Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Princess Sikhanyiso, the Minister of Information, Communications and Technology(ICT) sent insulting messages to Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini calling him a toad.<\/p>\n

A toad is a common name for certain frogs, especially of the Bufonidae family, that are characterized by dry, leathery skin, short legs, and large bumps covering the parotoid glands.<\/p>\n

The Minister sent the insulting messages after the editor published an investigative article on Wednesday alleging that the Princess and her mother Inkhosikati LaMbikiza were rushed to Mbabane Clinic amid a poisoning scare within the royal family.<\/p>\n

The Swaziland News editor said he first received a call from one of the Princess\u2019 brothers who pleaded with him to write another article suggesting that the Princess and her mother had recovered.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told the Prince to tell Sikhanyiso to call me because she has my number and make a public comment that she had recovered.A few minutes later, Sikhanyiso sent me a message calling me a toad. I don\u2019t have a problem with the insults because I understand that being sick is a very painful experience particularly if your sickness attracts the attention of the media.I can only wish uMlangeni a speedy recovery\u201d, said the editor.<\/p>\n

Princess Sikhanyiso declined to comment after being approached by this publication, she opted to blast the editor.<\/p>\n

In January 2020, the Princess sent threatening messages to the editor and subsequently unleashed police officers to torture him. This was after the editor exposed a plot by the Princess to remove the then Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini from power, the PM later died mysteriously.<\/p>\n
