Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>William Tsintsibala Dlamini, the controversial National Commissioner of Police will not be in office until further notice, Deputy National Commissioner Lydia Dlamini will act on his behalf.<\/b><\/p>\n

This comes amid tensions within the police service, junior police officers are demanding a salary increment under Phase Two(2), members of the law enforcement agency are expected to march again tomorrow(Tuesday) to demand answers from the Prime Minister after delivering a petition with their grievances last week.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis notice serves to notify all Formations in the Royal Eswatini Police Service that National Commissioner of Police is not in Office with effect from the 15th October 2022 until further notice. He is on an official trip outside the country. Acting on his behalf is Senior Deputy National Commissioner Ms Lydia S. Dlamini,\u201d reads a memo from National Commissioner\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

A questionnaire was sent to the Police Spokesperson Phindile Vilakati, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

Police officers are expected to march to the Prime Minister\u2019s Office on Tuesday to demand answers regarding their salary increment,after delivering a petition last week.<\/p>\n
