Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Local musicians left fun lovers yearning for more in Zanzibar during a show dubbed \u2018Full Moon Party.\u2019<\/b><\/p>\n

This was revealed by Letsgozanzibar Travel Agency Managing Director Vusani Matsebula .<\/p>\n

He said the agency was in partnership with Kendwa Rocks Beach Resort in Zanzibar.<\/p>\n

Matsebula said they had been promoting African music, arts and cultural exchange over the years, through creating events that promoted exhibitions and enhanced arts and cultural exchange.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe do hope this initiative will grow into Eswatini, South Africa and other African countries in the near future. Letsgozanzibar offers travel packages that are specially made for people from Southern Africa, so to afford to visit the Zanzibar Island, where by once a year we also host a full moon party and exhibitions from different African countries.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Full Moon beach party event is specially orientated to promoting African music, arts and cultural exchange, with artists from different African countries like Eswatini, South Africa, Mozambique and Tanzania that have been featured over the years,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Matsebula said this year, local artists represented the country as they brought their heated up performances. \u201cWe brought artists from Eswatini the likes of M Nation and DJ Duke Deep, artists from South Africa were TxC, DJ Moscow, DJ Zoe and artist from Tanzania were RJ the DJ and DJ Ally.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a great experience because the Tanzanian DJ\u2019s came up with some serious fire, as they most definably made the show, this really adds a lot of value on the exchange. DJ Moscow is already working on something with DJ Ally from Tanzania, a very energetic DJ that always brings a full performance not to be missed.<\/p>\n

M Nation stood out and left the crowd asking for more, literally they shouted \u2018we want more\u2019 as he opened the stage with his energetic Swati songs, it was magical,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Exhibitions<\/b><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event started at 3pm with exhibitions from Eswatini, South Africa and Tanzania.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe exhibitions were the most important part of the cultural exchange, we had the NYDA representing South Africa, Letsgozanzibar went all out to collect and showcase Eswatini culture together with the South African culture.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Zanzibar arts and culture team was present and they showed us a few cultural dances and cultural dress codes from Tanzania. We danced and exchanged our culture, while showcasing all this to more than 50 foreign countries that were present at the event, these were the likes of Russia, USA, Kenya, Uganda, Egypt, to mention a few I literally ran to at the exhibitions,\u201d added the director.<\/p>\n

Matsebula said they been engaging the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture together with Eswatini Tourism Authority to join them on the music arts and cultural exchange between African countries.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are positive that one day Eswatini will be represented well and a full cultural presence will be showcased,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The initiative was started in 2017 when they co-sponsored Eswatini MTN Music Awards and continued when they also sponsored the Eswatini Miss cultural heritage for a cultural exchange trip to Zanzibar Island.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough these events we do not only wish to create a strong working relationship between African artists, producers, managers, the media, tourism and arts and culture, but we also wish to promote collaborations and the import and export of African music, arts and culture,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
