Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>MBABANE Highlanders\u2019 top target Bonginkhosi \u2018Manyovu\u2019 Dlamini has stopped training with the club, just days before the registration deadline on Friday.<\/b><\/p>\n

This comes after Highlanders allegedly failed to meet the player\u2019s five-day ultimatum to sort out his transfer issue with his club Royal Leopard.<\/p>\n

The left-footed winger was controversially unveiled by the black and white outfit a month ago at the Somhlolo National Stadium during their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Royal AM, allegedly without Leopard\u2019s consent.<\/p>\n

Reports suggest that the winger stopped training with the capital city giants two weeks ago after he felt Highlanders were dragging their feet in signing him.<\/p>\n

Rivals<\/b><\/p>\n

A source close to the matter confided that the ultimatum ended last Wednesday and it has emerged that capital city rivals Mbabane Swallows are watching the player\u2019s situation with keen interest.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe player has decided to stop training and this is because Highlanders are slow in getting his clearance from Leopard by paying the asking price,\u201d the source revealed.<\/p>\n

Highlanders\u2019 Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Clement Dlamini said he was unaware of the latest developments on the issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing has reached my office to that effect. I will call the manager to find out,\u201d the CEO said.<\/p>\n

Several attempts to reach the player were futile after his phone rang unanswered for the better part of yesterday. Meanwhile, Highlanders, who are the 2021\/22 MTN Premier League runners-up, have already signed five players to bolster their squad in the new season.<\/p>\n
