Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Former Mbabane Highlanders player Xolani \u2018Papi\u2019 Sikhondze is heavily linked with a move to hub giants Manzini Wanderers before the deadline of the registration window tonight.<\/p>\n

Sikhondze is currently in talks with \u2018Weslians, who have signed another former Highlanders player Mlamuli \u2018 Mlaba\u2019 Nkambule on a one-season contract ahead of the crucial Momo Cup play-offs clash against the capital city giants at Mavuso Sports Centre on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The maroon and white ensemble also have two former Highlanders players in their books in playmaker Menzi Mamba and goalkeeper Phila Mamba.<\/p>\n

The seasoned Sikhondze was previously linked with a move to Green Mamba, which did not come to fruition.<\/p>\n

The combative central midfielder once had a brief stint with the \u2018Weslians\u2019 about seven seasons ago.<\/p>\n

Wanderers General Manager Mlungisi \u2018Mluka\u2019 Ndzinisa confirmed their talks with the former Desportivo de Maputo player.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are working around the clock to sign \u2018Papi\u2019 in our quest to assemble a competitive team after successfully signing \u2018Mlaba\u2019Nkambule. We are assembling a team which will be remembered for many years. We want to deliver a trophy in order to move on well, so these signings show just that,\u201d Ndzinisa said.<\/p>\n

He said their eyes were glued to the prize, adding that people should not be fooled by those who were doing everything to stop them from breaking their existing records.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter almost seven years of dominance over us by Highlanders, the red button will be pressed on Sunday, it\u2019s a big stop. We are going all out,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
