Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>MANZINI Wanderers coach Mduduzi \u2018Nyama\u2019 Shongwe has declared war against rivals Mbabane Highlanders when the two sides clash this evening at the Somhlolo National Stadium.<\/b><\/p>\n

This much-anticipated encounter is part of the double header that will also feature an earlier clash pitting Mbabane Swallows against Manzini Sea Birds at the country\u2019s only football mecca. Wanderers were knocked out of the inaugural MoMo Cup play-offs by the capital city giants in a pulsating clash at the Mavuso Sports Centre on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Shongwe confidently stated that they were ready to take the game to their opponents today as they had prepared well for this match. He said they were looking for nothing but a win.<\/p>\n

\u201cMbabane Highlanders are an open book to us.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were playing against them two days ago and nothing is new about facing them despite that we lost on Sunday. This game is very important to us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Shongwe acknowledged that since the start of the league, they have not won any game but promised that this time around, they would fight tooth and nail to get the full points so that they move to a respectable position on the log standings.<\/p>\n

He further reported a clean bill of health for his players with the exception of the free-scoring winger Fabrice Mopina who was injured in Sunday\u2019s game, hence is doubtful starter for today\u2019s game as he still has to pass a late fitness test.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, his counterpart at Highlanders, Dumisani \u2018DU\u2019 Makhanya said they were ready for tonight\u2019s match.<\/p>\n

Makhanya warned that this was not just a different game but also in a different tournament, hence they needed to apply new tactics.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have forgotten about what happened on Sunday and are now focusing on the new game.<\/p>\n

Opponents<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are looking for a positive result, even though our opponents will be out for a win as well but this will not stop us from fighting for a win,\u201d the former Green Mamba mentor said.<\/p>\n

Highlanders also suffered defeat in their last MTN Premier League game against Moneni Pirates where they lost by a solitary goal.<\/p>\n
