Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Sergeant Sabelo \u2018Meadowlands\u2019 Simelane, the resigned pro-democracy cop has been abducted by Mswati\u2019s police officers.<\/b><\/p>\n

Simelane, a member of the People\u2019s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) was among political activists who attended a protest at Montigny Investments, Bhunya on Friday in solidarity with oppressed workers.<\/p>\n

Nontsetselelo Nkambule, the Deputy Chairperson of Manzini region PUDEMO Youth League who was also on the ground in solidarity with the workers confirmed the abduction of their member.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s true, he has been abducted with another PUDEMO member Mphephetse,\u201dsaid the Manzini region Deputy Chairperson of the Swaziland Youth Congress(SWAYOCO), a PUDEMO Youth League.<\/p>\n

A questionnaire was sent to Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

Oppressed workers of the politically connected Montigny Investments continued with their protest on Friday in demand for better working conditions, the protest started on Thursday.<\/p>\n
