Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Sabelo Meadowlands\u2019 Simelane, the resigned pro-democracy cop who was abducted by police officers within the Operational Support Services Unit(OSSU) on Friday morning has been found heavily assaulted.<\/b><\/p>\n

Simelane,a member of the People\u2019s United Democratic Movement( PUDEMO)was on the ground protesting in solidarity with Montigny Investments workers whose rights are violated by the politically connected company.<\/p>\n

Reached for comments,political activist Brian Sihlongonyane who was one of those who rushed the PUDEMO member to Mankayane hospital confirmed the assault.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am with him here at Mankayane Government Hospital where he is being treated,\u201d said the political activist.<\/p>\n

Police Spokesperson Superintendent Phindile Vilakati had not responded at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

Members of the police Operational Support Services Unit(OSSU) were unleashed to shoot and assault protesting Montigny workers on Friday merely for demanding better working conditions.<\/p>\n
