Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Today\u2019s opening matches of the MTN National First Division (NFD) have been called off and shifted to next weekend.<\/b><\/p>\n

This was announced by Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Chief Executive (CEO) Kenneth Makhanya yesterday through a communique\u0301 to all clubs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ExCo of the Premier League of Eswatini hereby announces the postponement of the 2022 \u2013 23 MTN NFD League kick-off on Saturday October 28 (today) due to deficiencies identified with the current rules and regulations. The kick \u2013off date will now be Saturday November 5.<\/p>\n

Your cooperation in this matter shall be highly appreciated,\u201d reads the statement.<\/p>\n

This means football lovers will have to wait another week until they can watch the Northern Hhohho derby between Pigg\u2019s Peak Black Swallows face Malanti Chiefs which was scheduled for today at Killarney Stadium.<\/p>\n

A total of six matches will be shifted including the Lubombo derby between Illovo Fc and Ubombo Flyers as well as the battle of the NFD rookies Kappa Kappa and Shooting Stars.<\/p>\n
