Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Malkerns Station Superintendent Bhekani Khumalo is in hiding, he allegedly took a leave amid threats on his life.<\/b><\/p>\n

It has been disclosed that Superintendent Khumalo is allegedly wanted dead by undercover State security officers after harassing Sergeant Dumsile Khumalo, the Secretary General of the Police Staff Association.<\/p>\n

The Commander allegedly invaded Sergeant Khumalo\u2019s house about two weeks ago and harassed her children, he subsequently ordered the Secretary General to go to the High Court to collect a court order stopping a protest organized by the police.<\/p>\n

A warrant of arrest was subsequently issued against Sergeant Dumsile Khumalo, however, it was stopped by heavily armed junior police officers who told arresting officer Senior Superintendent Clement Sihlongonyane to back-off and leave their Secretary General alone.<\/p>\n

Reached for comments by the press, Sergeant Khumalo confirmed that the Station Commander invaded her house and harassed her children.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can confirm that the Station Commander invaded my house around 11pm and harassed my children.I was not in the house when this happened and I received a call from my children who were crying,\u201dsaid the Secretary General of the Police Staff Association.<\/p>\n

It has been disclosed that apart from the threats from junior officers, the Station Commander allegedly received threats from unknown people who were using South African cellphone numbers.<\/p>\n

Police insiders alleged that Superintendent Khumalo found himself in trouble and living in fear for his life after being pressured by the Police Executive Commander to take action against Sergeant Dumsile Khumalo.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the Station Commander for Dumsile Khumalo who is leading the Police Staff Association,he was pressured by the Executive Command to take action against her.So,I think he acted under pressure by invading Dumsile\u2019s home,\u201d said the insider.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press on Monday, the Station Commander confirmed that he was on leave but denied that he was in hiding after receiving death threats.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s true that I am on leave but this has nothing to do with threats,\u201d said the Station Commander.<\/p>\n

Tension is escalating within the police service, junior officers are demanding a salary increment under Phase two(2), Government offered a four(4) percent salary increase that was rejected by the officers.<\/p>\n
