Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Johannes Manikela,the Chairperson of the Federation of Eswatini Business Community(FESBC) in the Hhohho region says, the recent increase in diesel prices will result to a massive hike in food prices.<\/b><\/p>\n

On Wednesday, the FESBC Chairperson said Government should review salaries as the hike in the prices of goods and services cannot be prevented in light of the increase in fuel prices.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis means that food prices and bus fares will increase.We think Government should allow suppliers to increase prices in order to bear with the situation.Even salaries should be reviewed if we want the country to move forward and grow,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In a statement released on Wednesday afternoon,Dorcas Dlamini,the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Natural Resources informed the public that the diesel price would increase with effect from midnight on Thursday 3rd November 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cDiesel 50 ppm S will increase by E 1.50\/litre whilst the price of Unleaded Petrol 95 and Illuminating Paraffin will remain unchanged.The new fuel price shall come into effect on midnight Thursday, 3 November 2022( effective Friday, 4 November 2022),” reads the statement in part.<\/p>\n
