Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>SOCCER – CONTRARY to belief that former Mbabane Swallows coach Christopher Ennin vanished with two of the club\u2019s international stars after he was given the boot, it has since transpired that Kingsley Kwakyi and Bashir Mutanda were handed free clearances.<\/b><\/p>\n

The clearances, according to classified information, were sanctioned by club President Archbishop Bheki Lukhele. Lukhele instructed Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Board of Governor Andreas Lukhele to sign off the players after he was left infuriated by the departure of the Ghana-born tactician Ennin.<\/p>\n

In a collective agreement between the club elders, Management Committee and some National Supporters Committee members, it was proposed in a rather directive manner to Archbishop Lukhele that Ennin be relieved off his duties.<\/p>\n

This follows the club\u2019s bad start to the MTN Premier League season which triggered unending meetings between the club\u2019s hierarchy.<\/p>\n

“There is this belief that the two players will return if finally located but the truth is that they were permanently cleared on a free after Ennin’s departure,” our inside source said.
\nKwakyi formed a rock solid central defence pairing with Congolese hardman Kingu Pemba while Mutanda was a breath of fresh air in the Swallows attack.<\/p>\n

Swallows stars now allegedly do not receive winning bonuses but only standard wages as per contractual obligations. Management Committee Chairman Party Bhiya asked to be called later as he was in a meeting when reached last evening.<\/p>\n

Now, there is big doubt returning forward Mike Mohammed will be tied to a deal as uncertainty grows around the future of the club president. As reported by the Eswatini Observer Sports Desk last week, the former South Africa’s Polokwane City and TS Galaxy striker was training with Swallows with the hope of registering when the transfer window opens in March.<\/p>\n

Swallows Marketing and Communications Officer Manqoba Mabuza could not be reached for comment.
\nBoard of Governor Andreas Lukhele confirmed that the players received free clearances \u201cYes, I can confirm that I signed the papers.\u201d<\/p>\n
