Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>This is none other than Nsingizini Hotspurs skilful forward Thubelihle Mavuso, who took home E12 000 in prize monies in the inaugural MoMo Cup Knockout Tournament, where his side was eventually crowned champions. The national Under-23 star won the man of the match award worth E2 000 in the finals where they beat Moneni Pirates 2-1.<\/b><\/p>\n

The former Ezulwini United attacker was also named the Player of the Tournament where he received E10 000, making it E12 000 total prize monies.<\/p>\n

Speaking after his team was crowned champions, Mavuso said he was very happy for his achievement.<\/p>\n

The former Mhlume Peacemakers attacker said hard work and determination saw him win the Player of the Tournament award.<\/p>\n

Mavuso said the experience he gained from playing in the national team (Under-20) helped him perform better on the day.<\/p>\n

He also congratulated his team for working collectively to get the positive results. \u201cI could not have won the awards on my own and this is why I want to appreciate the support from my teammates and the technical team for believing in my capabilities.<\/p>\n

Special thanks go to the club\u2019s President Derrick Shiba for always encouraging us to do better and making sure that our welfare is taken care off.\u201d He said he would continue working hard.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just have to remain disciplined and continue working hard as a team. I also want to thank our fans for coming out in their numbers to rally behind the team. They always push us to do better inside the field of play. I encourage them to continue supporting the team.\u201d<\/p>\n

In other categories, Nsingizini Hotspurs duo of Sibusiso \u2018Bharaba\u2019 Dlamini and Pius Baffour won the Goalkeeper of the Tournament and Man of the Match awards, respectively. \u2018Bharaba\u2019 received E5 000 while centre back Baffour got E2 000.<\/p>\n

Baffour was also named the Top Goal Scorer together with Moneni Pirates Kazadi Kitwa and they will share E10 000.This means that the solid defender took home E7 000 in prize monies.<\/p>\n

Moneni Pirates\u2019 Malibongwe Malinga took home E2 000 after being named man of the match in their first match against Mbabane Highlanders.<\/p>\n
