Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>FINE artist Sinenkosi Msomi\u2019s work has been chosen to showcase at Li Tang Gallery in New York .<\/b><\/p>\n

This was revealed by Msomi yesterday.<\/p>\n

He said he came across the open call through a page that normally shares opportunities for artists internationally and he took his chance.<\/p>\n

Li Tang gallery was looking for artists who explore the realms of portraiture through both realistic and non-realistic practices to evoke an emotional response regarding these contemporary issues.<\/p>\n

The gallery, through this open call was seeking artists who question their understanding of the world and our position in it. \u201cSince my work is driven by the need to put emphasis on the theme of self-expressions as they are a way of feeling and making others shared what we feel.<\/p>\n

I felt the piece selected had the impact of evoking different emotions,\u201d h said . Msomi said being selected as one of the artists to participate in the group exhibition hosted by Li Tang Gallery made him realise that his brand had the potential to reach even greater heights.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not the first time my work has been recognised internationally, more projects are materialising abroad, especially in the month of November to January, so it’s a matter of watching the space to see where this journey leads to,\u201d he said<\/p>\n
