Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Swaziland Liberation Movement (SWALIMO) has expelled two party members as the infighting within the organisation rages on.<\/b><\/p>\n

Chairperson Busi Mayisela and Siphetfo Dlamini were ejected from party structures yesterday for alleged gross misconduct over the past three months.<\/p>\n

This followed a decision taken at a meeting attended by about 403 party members on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a press statement signed by the political formation\u2019s spokesperson Thantaza Silolo.<\/p>\n

While the organisation said the decision put to rest a matter that had been pending within the organisation\u2019s structures for a while, it appeared the duo\u2019s decision to suspend the party\u2019s President Mduduzi Simelane earlier on cost them dearly.<\/p>\n

Silolo explained in the press statement that the pair had been suspended by the organisation on Tuesday following allegations that were contained in a leaked audio, where the pair was implicated in a plot to destroy the organisation and further tarnish the image of the party leader.<\/p>\n

Apparently, the pair had reacted to their suspension with vengeance. Instead of observing the suspension, they retaliated by issuing a statement to the effect that the president had been suspended.<\/p>\n

Such conduct could not be tolerated by the other members who quickly convened a meeting where a decision was taken to expel the pair from the party.<\/p>\n

Their conduct was viewed as sowing division in the party and damaging to the organisation\u2019s leader, Simelane.<\/p>\n

Mayisela\u2019s expulsion means she has now been ousted from the party structures and would have to let go of her position as the chairperson of the organisation.<\/p>\n

\u201cSWALIMO wishes to put it clear that it will not tolerate any moves by members or leaders to undermine the struggle to an extent that all implicated leaders will be dealt with accordingly to ensure that the Swazi struggle focuses on the ultimate goal,\u201d declared the party in the media statement.<\/p>\n
