Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>A total of 119 youth in the country has been sensitised by the Youth Enterprise Revolving Fund (YERF) through business clinics.<\/b><\/p>\n

The business clinics are meant to assist the youthto better utilise the funding opportunities provided by YERF.<\/p>\n

YERF Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mandla Nkambule said this was a three-day follow-up exercise which targeted the Lubombo region and part of the Manzini region.<\/p>\n

He mentioned that the main purpose of these business clinics was to sensitise the youth about YERF through distribution of loan application forms, information dissemination on how to access YERF funding and information sharing on YERF different products and requirements for each.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe clinics also sensitised the youth about YERF through the review of applications for youth who are currently preparing application documents and the loan applications collections,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The CEO added that the business clinics were part of the decentralisation roll-out which is in alignment with YERF\u2019s new strategy (2023-20225).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe process of regional presence is almost complete and YERF will soon have offices in the four regions in Eswatini where the youth can access funding opportunities and business support services,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Nkambule further encouraged the youth to apply through the online application website.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe encourage our aspiring youth entreprenuers to submit their loan applications and we assure them their applications will be considered and all viable projects be funded.<\/p>\n

The youth is encouraged to submit their loan applications through the online platform, YERF website: www.yef.co.sz ,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He added that the success of a business depended on how effective one could present their business plan.<\/p>\n

Some of the areas that have been visited include, Lugongolweni, Mpolonjeni, Matsanjeni North, Dvokodvweni, Sphofaneni, Sthobelweni, Nkilongo, Mhlume, Lomahasha, Gilgal, Mkhiweni, Mafutseni and Ekukhanyeni. Over 191 people attended the business clinics.<\/p>\n
