Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Sidvokodvo -Scalisa Foundation has been hailed for the work they are doing in helping the less privileged in the country.<\/b><\/p>\n

This was during the foundation\u2019s inaugural year end and thanksgiving celebration held at the Tum\u2019s Water World on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The foundation\u2019s very first beneficiary Nora Dlamini, who also attended the event, could not stop raving about how the foundation had changed her life and gave her dignity by building her a home.<\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of all the beneficiaries, Dlamini broke into song and became emotional when describing the state of the house she was living in before the founder Senator Tony Sibandze introduced her to the foundation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI lived in a house made of corrugated iron sheets and the roofing was leaking during rainy days. I would sometimes hide under my bed as everything would get wet because of the rain. This is the story of my life,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She said when the foundation came to visit her for the time they bought her all the things she needed.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is now clear that God heard my cries. I would wake up every day to dry my blankets and clothes after a rainy day. I prayed to God every day because the situation was really bad. The sad part is that I did not get any help from my community. I have no family but only Jesus. I remained faithful to him and He has showed up,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Dlamini said God eventually sent His people to help her.<\/p>\n

\u201cMay the Almighty bless Sibandze for the work that his foundation is doing.\u201d EswatiniBank (one of the sponsors) was represented by Head of Compliance Philani Dlamini, who spoke on behalf of Managing Director Nozizwe Melulela.<\/p>\n

He also applauded the foundation for the work.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for your dedication Senator Tony Sibandze. The houses you have built are up to standard and of high quality. More importantly, I want to thank you for the amazing work you have been doing in improving the lives of the less fortunate. May God bless you and your team,\u201d he said<\/p>\n

Dlamini urged other companies to follow suit and also support the foundation. Philani also revealed that EswatiniBank had a three-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sicalisa Foundation.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a bank we have committed to help build four houses each year for the foundation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mthunzi Mlotsa of Sicalisa Foundation said that this year they had used E704 507 to build houses for the less privileged around the country.<\/p>\n

He said they got this money from donations.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe total expenditure for this year was E130 972. This means the foundation\u2019s work is still on going and they money you put in goes a long way,\u201d he said. Board chairperson Alex Fakudze thanked the different imiphakatsi for working with them and making their job as the foundation easier.<\/p>\n

He also thanked EswatiniBank and Swaziland Building Society for their commitment towards the foundation.<\/p>\n

\u201cEswatiniBank has made a commitment to help us for the three years. They have shown that they are indeed a bank for the nation. They are reaching out to a number of people through this initiative.<\/p>\n

\u201cSwaziland Building Society has also been very forthcoming and helpful and we are grateful for their support. \u201d he said.Sibandze said giving back to the community was the right thing to do.<\/p>\n

\u201cI also received help from a good Samaritan. This man gave me a scholarship that helped me pursue my career. This is the reason I always want to help others in the different communities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
