That is exactly the situation facing Mbabane Swallows who have to take a disciplinary stance against their attacking midfielder Banele \u2018Pupu\u2019 Sikhondze for allegedly failing to report for camp last Saturday for unclear reasons.<\/p>\n

The former Mbombela United\u2019s richly-talented play-maker was conspicuously missing from the club\u2019s line-up last Sunday during their MTN Premier League 1-0 victory over Moneni Pirates at the Mavuso Sports Centre.<\/p>\n

A source close to the matter confirmed these developments and further stated that the player was facing disciplinary proceedings for his alleged misconduct.<\/p>\n

The player could also be handed E3 000 fine along with a two-week suspension, which is in accordance with the club\u2019s code of conduct should he be found guilty of this offence.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe MC and technical bench are not happy about the behaviour of the player after he missed camp on Saturday. He is expected to appear before the Disciplinary Committee tomorrow (today) to answer on the charges of misconduct preferred against him,\u201d the impeccable source confided.<\/p>\n

Swallows General Manager (GM) Sandile \u2018Beyond 2000\u2019 Zwane could only state that they were waiting for a report from the technical bench. He did not want to pre-empt anything on the matter at this stage.<\/p>\n

The red and white glamour side will visit Tambankulu Callies this weekend in their next league game at the Tambankulu Stadium and it remains unclear if \u2018Pupu\u2019 would be part of the squad or not.<\/p>\n

Efforts to get his comment hit a snag at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

\u2018Pupu\u2019 has a rich football history, having played for a number of clubs in South Africa before rejoining Swallows about three seasons ago after a stint at the now defunct Mbombela United.<\/p>\n

He has also previously played for Polokwane City, while they were still campaigning in the Premiership League.<\/p>\n
