Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Macmillian Education Eswatini has already started awarding the country\u2019s \u2018Best Teachers\u2019.<\/b><\/p>\n

Following their announcement last week, the book production company has kept its promise and has started making visit in school of teachers who have been recognised by pupils as the best.<\/p>\n

Twenty four teachers around the country are being awarded with laptops, books and other goodies for the hard work which their pupils have recognized them for.<\/p>\n

Themed \u2018Macmillan Best Teachers Award\u2019, the campaign by Macmillan Education Eswatini gave the floor for pupils to post their favourite teachers and state five reasons.<\/p>\n

The best teachers will be awarded in a series of awards that will start tomorrow and end on December, 2022, in the different regions of the country.<\/p>\n

Each awarded teacher will receive a laptop, books and promotional material from Macmillan Education Eswatini.<\/p>\n

Today, Macmillan Education Eswatini awarded Thuli Motsa, a teacher at Somnjalose High School and Futhi Sithole, a teacher at St Francis High School. The award campaign started last week in the Northern part of the Hhohho Region.<\/p>\n

Confirming the initiative was Macmillan Education Eswatini Sales and Marketing Manager Manqoba Sihlongonyane, who said the concept was a continuation of the \u2018World Teacher\u2019s Day\u2019, where they made a commitment to continue honouring teachers in a campaign format.<\/p>\n

\u201cPupils were given the opportunity to post their favourite teachers, listing five reasons why they were considered them their best teachers. When adjudicating, we looked into the quality of reasons and the frequency of the teacher being posted.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will be awarding 24 teachers from the different regions. Six teachers will be awarded in each region. Out of the six, three will be teachers from high schools, two from primary schools and one from a pre-school,\u201d explained Sihlongonyane.<\/p>\n

He further said the winners will then be awarded with Macmillan promotional items and books at their offices in Matsapha in an award ceremony.<\/p>\n

Sihlongonyane said this campaign proved that pupils also spotted hardworking teachers.<\/p>\n
