Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>It is important to celebrate anniversaries because taking time to honour these milestones gives you a chance to recognise employees for their hard work and commitment as well as thanking loyal clients and customers.<\/b><\/p>\n

Last week Thursday Safrican did exactly that by commemorating 10 years of business in the country.<\/p>\n

With the objective of offering affordable funeral insurance for individuals and groups in all sectors in the kingdom.<\/p>\n

As well as a key importance of bringing solutions for the extended African set-up by offering family products that allow for a family with up to two spouses to be included in the same policy without any additional premium.<\/p>\n

All biological children born from the husband and the two wives are accepted under the same policy with no additional cost for the policy holder.<\/p>\n

Safrican\u2019s Simile Khumalo, Managing Director, shared that as a company they understand that in any African family set-up, children born from all three parents belong together and must be regarded as one unit.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur product extends to churches, funeral parlours, co-operatives and corporates with all industries in the kingdom.<\/p>\n

\u201cSafrican is in the process of securing a local shareholder to ensure that they become a full Eswatini company in line with the Insurance Act of 2005,\u201d the MD said.<\/p>\n

Khumalo said this was a significant milestone that Safrican has achieved. Just a few years ago Safrican Swaziland Insurance Company upgraded its minority insurance licence to be able to compete with other industry players. Safrican Eswatini Financial Services was therefore formed, and amalgamated with Safrican Swaziland Insurance Company.<\/p>\n

Safrican Eswatini Financial Services is now the operating entity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe take pride in the fact that claims were being paid efficiently during the COVID-19 period, while applying the work-from-home policy for our staff. We wish to thank the Safrican team of 11 employees who work tirelessly to ensure that our client promise is delivered,\u201d Khumalo said.<\/p>\n

In the coming years, Safrican intends to grow its market share by capturing both the untapped formal and informal sector. Safrican aims to bring innovation in order to adapt to the ever-changing environment.<\/p>\n

CEO Phindi Riba shared that Safrican was currently on a mission to secure a 25 per cent local minority shareholder in the next six months, and were looking forward to this process where Emaswati shall become shareholders that will participate in the strategy and direction of this growing business.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to appreciate our dedicated Safrican team who are loyal to the brand and remain committed to the growth of Safrican. We look ahead to the foreseeable future with faith to provide better products, and ultimately more on the bottom line,\u201d Riba said.<\/p>\n
