Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Former Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) Commissioner and now Ludzidzini Council member Ncumbi Maziya has urged fellow Emaswati closer to His Majesty King Mswati III to represent him well and love him genuinely.<\/b><\/p>\n

He said His Majesty does not like to see people doing bad hence it was important for those working closer to him to be his good ambassadors wherever they are.<\/p>\n

He said whatever those around the King do, it reflects back to him, noting that he gets worried when he sees those who are supposed to lead by example going astray.<\/p>\n

He was speaking at his 50th birthday celebration at his home in Bethany this week. ironically, present during the event were Chief of Protocol Khandlela Mdluli, who represented Libandla lase 52, where Maziya grew up, Ludzidzini Council Chairman Chief Mdlaka Gamedze, former EBC Head of Secretariat Richard Phungwayo, the business community, emajaha from Inkanyeti regiment and some church representatives.<\/p>\n

Maziya reminded the nation about respect, stating that pointing fingers at elders was unSwazi and urged the nation to desist from doing this because it would bring a curse onto one\u2019s life. He said he gets disturbed when he sees people challenging their authority and pointing fingers at those in leadership.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf this is the democracy we want, then it shall give us problems in future,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He said when there is no leadership, there is always chaos because everyone would scramble to take the leadership position.<\/p>\n

He said he was personally proud to know that the country has a King and urged the nation to pray for their Majesties during this trying period.<\/p>\n

Maziya reminded the nation that respect was key in everything they do. He said even the Bible puts respect before everything else, noting that once people start disrespecting and challenging their authorities, they were inviting a curse upon themselves. He said the country was blessed to have Their Majesties as leaders, stating that they needed to be given all the respect they deserved.<\/p>\n

He said it was also the duty of the nation to always keep their majesties in prayer.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must all pray for the long life of their Majesties and for God to grant them wisdom during this period. Pastors have a responsibility to pray for the country and those in authority. Instead of condemning people, they must persuade them to follow God,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Maziya said he was celebrating 50 years because he had remained respectful as he was brought up with respect. He said he was grateful to Their Majesties for their support and for shaping him to be the person he is today.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to extend my profound appreciation to Their Majesties for everything they have done for me,\u201d he said. In addition, Maziya revealed that his principle was to always stand by the truth and ensure that the defenceless and vulnerable get justice. He said he was happy to serve under the leadership of Chief Mdlaka Gamedze as chairman of the Ludzidzini Council that he was appointed to.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe in transparency and justice for everyone, which I can see is happening under your leadership chief. \u201cKeep up the good work so that this committee becomes useful to the people who run to us for help when they feel oppressed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He added that those entrusted with ensuring justice for the people must do just that instead of oppressing them.<\/p>\n

He said there was a need to have God fearing and trustworthy people to be in positions of power.<\/p>\n

He said there was also a need to appoint people who cannot be easily corrupted and bribed to do wrong. He said little things as booze was used to make the youth do wrong things.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople must desist from taking bribes in return for the service they are supposed to deliver to the people free of charge.<\/p>\n

The bribes also compromise the truth which people must always stick by. The late Prince Masitsela used to tell me that you must be in a position where God will be happy to find you at. I still live by those principles,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Also in attendance during the event were chiefs, who included Chief Jozana Maziya of Kalanga, Chief Mphaphela Mabuza of Mgomfelweni, Chief Zwide Ndwandwe of Zikhotheni and members of the Ludzidzini Council Mathendele Dlamini and Hlbosile Ndlovu.<\/p>\n

Other notable figures included Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Prince Mlayeto, who is the chief of Nkwene area, His Majesty\u2019s Correctional Service Commissioner General LaMakhosini Dlamini, senior government officials Members of Parliament, CEOs and directors of various entities.<\/p>\n
