Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Law Society of Swaziland(LSS)has been staggering to act against Chief Justice Bheki Maphalala who deliberately destroyed the law profession, but it\u2019s never too late to do the right thing.<\/b><\/p>\n

CJ Bheki Maphalala has been interfering with the independence of Judges formally and behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that the CJ went as far as appointing lawyers who were very close to him as Judges of the Supreme Court just to indirectly manipulate judgements to favour his corrupt syndicate.<\/p>\n

We have been witnessing junior Judges in the Supreme Court reviewing decisions of senior Judges as CJ Bheki Maphalala continued to \u2018rape lady justice\u2019 with impunity.<\/p>\n

Lawyers in this country have been preparing court papers for their clients,conducting legal research, only to appear before corrupt Judges who are part of Chief Justice Maphalala\u2019s judicial syndicate.<\/p>\n

The Law Society must also investigate how Chief Justice Bheki Maphalala influenced the appointment of Magistrates who are his alleged girlfriends,these Magistrates must be removed as a matter of urgency.<\/p>\n

It is now extremely difficult to be a lawyer in this country, you can argue your case but the rich and powerful will win after bribing Judges particularly the Chief Justice.<\/p>\n

As the independent media,we applaud the Law Society of Swaziland(LSS) for taking action against the Chief Justice, this move is in the public interest and must be supported.<\/p>\n

We have credible Judges and Magistrates within the judicial system and we don\u2019t even need a foreign Judge to be our Chief Justice.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, we have highly experienced Magistrates in the country, what was preventing the Judicial Service Commission(JSC) from promoting these judicial officers as Judges instead of grabbing lawyers with highly questionable characters to act as Supreme Court Judges?<\/p>\n

The image and or integrity of the justice system has been tainted by the conduct of the Chief Justice, he must be removed and subsequently face criminal charges.<\/p>\n
