Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Mduduzi Mamba, a police officer based at Sigodvweni (Matsapha) Police Station will now walk with crutches after the dramatic shooting at Kwaluseni OK Foods on Monday.<\/b><\/p>\n

Mamba who was among the three police officers attacked by gunmen, is currently admitted at the Raleigh Fitkin Memorial(RFM) Hospital in Manzini,his relatives confirmed that doctors recommended that his leg should be amputated due to the seriousness of the injuries.<\/p>\n

\u201cDoctors recommended that his leg must be amputated due to the seriousness of the injuries. Sekute vele naye sewutawuba ngu-Madzabudzabu,\u201dsaid the relative.<\/p>\n

Madzabudzabu is the Chairman of the Swaziland Massacre Victims and Survivors Association(SWAVISA) whose leg was amputated after being intentionally shot by Mswati\u2019s police at close range during the political unrest.<\/p>\n

A questionnaire was sent to Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson, however, she had not responded at time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

On another note, Deputy Prime Minister Themba Masuku had earlier informed the Nation that the police officers were recovering.<\/p>\n

But now, it has emerged that the officers were shot several times and one of them would be amputated.<\/p>\n
