Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>SOWETO-BORN Tlale Makhene says despite getting married he will continue his music career.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Soweto-born drummer, who considers himself a Swati, after his parents moved to Mahamba at the age of four, wed Lebogang Mahasha last weekend.<\/p>\n

It is according to the drummer that the wedding celebrations were held at the Phiri homestead; the bride\u2019s home and at Molapo, his home both in Soweto.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe occasion was attended by people from all over, including Eswatini. We had my brothers and sisters; Lihle Mhlanga, Ziyawa Kazitha, Shaka Makhanya, Mpheni Tfwala and Nelisa Lawton in attendance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am honoured to have had them come to the celebrations. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us. May God and ancestors bless them abundantly,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Quizzed if he would stop music now that he was married, the drummer said that he could see himself as nothing but an artist. He stated that being an artist was his gift to heal the world and that was what kept him sane.<\/p>\n

\u201cGetting married will keep me grounded in all the aspects of my life,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Marriage<\/p>\n

The newly-wed mentioned that he would probably, in the near future, make music based on his marriage chapter as this was one of the milestones of his life and an experience to share. Makhene further said in the not so far future, the wedding celebrations would also take place at Mahamba.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe past weekend was a blessing for both me and my wife. Everything went very well. I would love to thank both our families for the support and blessings. Indeed we had fun. Akwandze,\u201d said Makhene.<\/p>\n
