Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Speaker in the House of Assembly Petros Mavimbela has described the Speech from the Throne as the best.<\/p>\n

His Majesty King Mswati III delivered the speech on Friday when he officially opened the fourth session of the 11th Parliament.<\/p>\n

Mavimbela and a number of Emaswati expressed their administration of the King\u2019s speech, which they viewed as being on point in that he touched on all the important issues that remain the challenge for the country, including the so-called huge elephant in the room, the national dialogue.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was one of the greatest speeches and very fulfilling at the end. The King touched on all the relevant issues that impact on Emaswati. It was particularly pleasing to hear him emphasise that we should never be enemies even when we share different opinions on issues. The King spoke strongly about the importance of dialogue where opinions differ and this has always been our culture as Emaswati,\u201d Mavimbela said.<\/p>\n

The Speaker also said the speech has thrown a huge challenge for government to stand up and be counted insofar as the country\u2019s development is concerned.
\n\u201cThe King spoke about a number of initiatives that government must work on to improve the economy of the country. This is a speech we must appreciate as Emaswati because it gives us lot of hope,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Liqoqo Chairman Paul Dlamini has challenged Emaswati to stage a united front against corruption and root out dishonesty in the country.
\nThe former deputy prime minister (DPM) said all the efforts by government to restore the country\u2019s economic outlook would be in vain if Emaswati choose to thrive on the two bad elements (dishonesty and corruption).<\/p>\n

Dlamini said the King\u2019s speech was a demonstration of why corruption and dishonesty would stall economic development for the country.<\/p>\n

Wisdom<\/p>\n

\u201cSekhuta Lwandle bekunene. The King delivered a great speech, which was a blessing for us as Emaswati because it touched on all the issues affecting our people. It was a speech of great wisdom from the King giving us great hope as a country. For us to develop, we need to fight corruption and dishonesty. Let us all stand up and rebuild the country\u2019s economy,\u201d Dlamini urged.<\/p>\n

He also commended the fact that the King touched on the issue of high unemployment for the youth.
\n\u201cIt is very sad to see young graduates roaming the streets without jobs. The King also spoke about capital budget, which government must put in place.<\/p>\n

The speech has left no doubt that the King has the people of this country firmly in his heart. What impressed me the most is that the King was calm when he delivered the speech and gave us lots of hope,\u201d the Liqoqo chairman said.<\/p>\n

Dlamini said after the King\u2019s speech, all his questions on the future of this country were properly answered.
\nAlso congratulating the King was Business Eswatini (BE) Chief Executive Officer E.Nathi Dlamini, but he said their members were yet to consolidate their views in reflecting on the totality of the Speech from the Throne.<\/p>\n

\u201cLed by His Majesty King Mswati III, the State Opening of the 4th session of the 11th Parliament is now done and dusted. This weekend, the BE team will begin the process of soliciting the views of a wider section of the private sector community as regards the Speech from the Throne,\u201d reads part of the statement from BE management.<\/p>\n

The company has further given an assurance that the public\u2019s reactions will then be synthesised into a press statement, hopefully by early next week to provide feedback to the nation.<\/p>\n
