Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Two State police officers were among a convoy that camped outside human rights lawyer Thulani Maseko\u2019s home while King Mswati\u2019s alleged \u2018hitmen\u2019 were assassinating the Chairperson of the MultiStakeholder Forum(MSF).<\/b><\/p>\n

Nothandolwethu Maseko who spoke on behalf of the family said one of her brothers responded quickly upon hearing the gunshots at Maseko’s home.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter learning that my brother Thulani Maseko has been shot, one of my brothers took his bike and tried to follow the car with the hitmen. A few metres away from home, he found a man and asked him if he was going to Thulani\u2019s home, at first,my brother didn\u2019t know that the man was a police officer. He then saw a convoy of police officers next to Maseko\u2019s home and tried to show them the car transporting the alleged hitmen. However, the police refused to chase the car,instead, they told my brother to chase it and then give them the number plate. Thereafter, my brother realized that the man he saw was part of the convoy of police officers. They then entered the house, pretending to be hard at work while taking pictures of the body,\u201d said the sister to the human rights lawyer.<\/p>\n

A questionnaire was sent to Police Spokesperson Superintendent Phindile, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

The names of the police officers on the pictures are subject of an investigation by press.<\/p>\n

It has been disclosed that the police officers who camped next to Maseko’s home had all the equipment to attend to a shooting crime scene,this included bulletproofs, gloves and cameras among others.<\/p>\n

It could not be ascertained who told them that Thulani Maseko might be shot and killed that resulted to them camping next to his home.<\/p>\n

Human rights lawyer Thulani Maseko,the Chairperson of the pro-democracy MultiStakeholder Forum(MSF)was gunned down on Saturday at his home,Luyengo in the outskirts of Bhunya.<\/p>\n
