Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span> CAF envoys Royal Leopard say they do not fear South African heavyweights Orlando Pirates, but respect them.<\/p>\n

The two sides will meet on February 27 in the Total Energies CAF Confederation Cup group stages. The police side confirmed their slot in the group stages of the continent\u2019s second biggest club competition by eliminating Algeria\u2019s most successful club in history, JS Kabylie, on away goal rule after the tie ended 2-all.<\/p>\n

Speaking upon arrival at the Ngwenya Border Gate yesterday afternoon, Leopard coach Edwin Matsebula said they had a chance to advance to the knockout stages. \u201cWe have made history by progressing to the group stage.<\/p>\n

We will get enough experience in this stage. Who knows, we may find ourselves in the knockout stages. We do not fear big clubs like Orlando Pirates, but respect them,\u201d he said. He said he would not say much about the other teams in the same group because they were a closed book to them.<\/p>\n

Leopard once beat Orlando Pirates during the King\u2019s Super Cup at Somhlolo National stadium.<\/p>\n

Hearted Matsebula said their match against JS Kabylie was not for the faint-hearted. \u201cIt was one of the toughest matches. It\u2019s like we played 270 minutes. Our game plan was to sit back and catch them on counter-attacks. Unfortunately, it didn\u2019t work for us after we conceded an early goal. I then told my players to push forward and it worked well because we came back home victorious.\u201d<\/p>\n

The coach further thanked the Algerian side for their hospitality. Meanwhile, team captain Muzi \u2018Mzoro\u2019 Dlamini said they would continue to hoist the country\u2019s flag high.<\/p>\n
