Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>ESWATINI\u2019s annual festivals, the Biggest Braai and Epic Gig are back this year. Philani Maswati Chairperson Lutfo Dlamini confirmed that the Biggest Braai would be hosted in July.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Toxin Entertainment Director Tammy \u2018Toxik\u2019 Dlamini revealed that the Epic Gig would held on June 25 at a venue yet to be confirned. More details about both events will be shared in due course. Biggest Braai is an event that is loved by many, the past years it has been hosted at the Mavuso Trade Centre in Manzini.<\/p>\n

This annual event has gained popularity over the years, as the last event was held in 2019 and was packed with over 9 000 people.<\/p>\n

The event saw gospel music lovers, revellers and different companies gathering at the venue to braai meat while being spoiled to impeccable music, dances, artists\u2019 performances and comedy.<\/p>\n

The day kicked off at noon, where people started braaing their meat and savouring the day filled with smoke, literally.<\/p>\n

There were over 40 gazebos which were erected, with each symbolising a different brand. Each person from the companies wore uniform so to pride themselves with their brand.<\/p>\n

Epic Gig Director Tammy Dlamini said this year they would go an extra mile with the line up to celebrate the return of activities in the arts industry. \u201cOur artist line-up will be launched to the public soon at this year\u2019s official launch. We don’t want to reveal the surprise just yet.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne thing we can promise is that it will be epic just like the name of the festival suggests,\u201d said Dlamini. The Epic Gig has featured some of the best in South African heavyweights, including Kwesta, A-Reece, Nadia Nakai Mlindo The Vocalist, Mobi Dixon and Buffalo Soldier, to mention a few.<\/p>\n
