Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Penuel Malinga,the National Organizer of the People\u2019s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) says security will be strengthened this weekend during the political party\\’s Elective Conference to be held in South Africa.<\/b><\/p>\n

This comes amid assassination of political activists particularly PUDEMO members by King Mswati\u2019s State agents.<\/p>\n

Some of the King\u2019s agents are believed to have crossed the border last week ahead of the Elective Conference and the motive behind their trips remains unknown.<\/p>\n

Former PUDEMO Secretary General Thulani Maseko,a highly regarded human rights lawyer was assassinated, allegedly by Mswati\u2019s security officers and mercenaries last month.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are taking the issues of security very seriously amid the assassinations and we are also happy that the conference will be held in a democratic country,\u201d said the PUDEMO National Organizing Secretary when speaking to the press current affairs program this week.<\/p>\n

Malinga did not elaborate on other security measures to be adopted ahead of the Elective Conference.<\/p>\n
