Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The University of St Andrews is offering 15 fully funded places for Commonwealth students on an MSc in sustainable aquaculture, and the deadline for applications is 5 April.<\/p>\n

The scholarships are being provided by St Andrews and Aquaculture Courses, which collates flexible online learning solutions through access to quality education resources.<\/p>\n

The full CSC scholarships, which cover all tuition fees for the two-year distance learning masters in Sustainable Aquaculture, are open to students living in certain Commonwealth countries.<\/p>\n

The online course starts in September 2022. Applicants must have a degree (2:1 or above) in a scientific subject and live in one of the following Commonwealth countries: Bangladesh, Belize, Cameroon, Eswatini, Ghana, India, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, The Gambia, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu or Zambia.<\/p>\n

Dr Neil Hazon, the course director, said: \u201cOur courses have attracted students from over 40 countries and more than 90 students have graduated at postgraduate level.\u201d<\/p>\n

Those interested in the opportunity who are eligible, must first apply to the University of St Andrews to enrol on the Online Sustainable Aquaculture MSc course. Successful applicants can then apply for CSC scholarship funding.,<\/p>\n

\u201cIn particular applicants should demonstrate how they can promote the development of sustainable aquaculture within their country,\u201d said Dr Hazon.<\/p>\n

The pre-application window is 15 February \u2013 5 April 2022, to allow time to complete the full application process as candidates must receive an offer from University of St Andrews before they can apply for CSC scholarship funding.<\/p>\n

Those interested need to act quickly and complete the pre-application process, the University stressed.<\/p>\n

Details of the Sustainable Aquaculture course are available online via the St Andrews website.<\/p>\n
