Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>\u201cWe are here to reaffirm that we need each other, now more than ever, particularly in the aftermath of the global COVID-19 pandemic, economic uncertainties and global pressing problems,\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

The above sentiments were shared by His Excellency Prime Minister Cleopas Sipho Dlamini; he was speaking during the official launch of the Eswatini State Business Relations (SBR) earlier today.<\/p>\n

When furthering his point the PM said with this understanding, the Government of Eswatini and the private sector have a dual obligation to ensure that Eswatini increases its national competitiveness by advancing regulatory reforms and improvements in production, value addition, manufacturing and trade logistics.<\/p>\n

In addition to that, he said these require national, regional and international collaboration to address supply chain security, trade facilitation and economic constraints.<\/p>\n

\u201c This demonstrates a shared commitment between the Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini and the Private Sector to improve on the pillars of economic growth, investment climate and taking advantage of market opportunities at national, regional, continental, and inter-continental levels,\u201d said His Excellency.<\/p>\n

In hindsight, he said the Eswatini SBR is hugely aligned to the imperatives and national priorities identified in the Strategic Roadmap 2019-2023, particularly those that relate to improving National Competitiveness by enabling the business environment through a private sector-led and export-driven economy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am sure most of you will agree that for Eswatini to attain an export-led growth model, this requires and demands strong co-operative and constructive relations, partnerships and active collaboration between the public sector and the business community. That is the essence of why we are here today,\u201d said the PM.<\/p>\n

The establishment of the Eswatini State Business Relations Framework, which was finally launched today, is something that His Majesty\u2019s Government, has been looking forward to.<\/p>\n

On this, the PM said the launch was a culmination of the hard work and dedication of certain individuals within the Government, the private sector and strategic partners.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am sure every one of you gathered here today can understand why this project means so much to us as partners,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
