Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Trade Forward Southern Africa (TFSA) has availed an opportunity for female entrepreneurs in the country to join a regional training.<\/p>\n

Such training will also have participants from South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Mozambique. TFSA is a UK government funded programme that operates across the countries of the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) and Mozambique.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the training is to support female entrepreneurs looking to export products and trade beyond their borders. TFSA has put up an online application platform with certain processes for those interested in applying.<\/p>\n

They highlighted that the application process is one that requires entrepreneurs to give a description of their business in order to ensure that the programme is aligned with the applicant\u2019s vision. Through a communiqu\u00e9 shared on their social media platforms, the programme made it known that there were few spaces available.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can only take a limited number of entrepreneurs through our cohort because we wish to ensure that the applicants get hands-on support that will help them succeed,\u201d reads a part of the announcement.<\/p>\n

The programme is expected to commence on February 28 and will run until the end of March. Eligibility requirements are that the female entrepreneurs must be based in the aforementioned countries and that the business must have physical products ready to be exported.<\/p>\n

Impressively, Far East Textiles emerged runners up in the inaugural Southern Africa Regional Exporters Awards this year, beating stiff competition from Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zambia. Far East Textiles is the only local-owned textile factory represented the country after being crowned exporter of the year in Eswatini.<\/p>\n

The factory which exports to South Africa is owned by astute businesswomen and Business Women Eswatini (BWE) Chairperson Tokky Hou.<\/p>\n
