Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Eswatini is set to resuscitate its coal industry with the help of Indonesia.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Southeast Asian country is expected to send a team of experts to Eswatini to start the process. In the annual performance report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, it is stated that the team of Indonesian experts on power generation using coal is to be deployed to the Kingdom of Eswatini to investigate how best the country\u2019s high-quality coal can be used to generate energy.<\/p>\n

According to the report, the team is to be dispatched anytime this month. The pledge was made by the President of Indonesia, His Excellency Joko Widodo to His Majesty King Mswati III on August 24, 2022, during a meeting between the two heads of state in Jakarta, Indonesia.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhilst in the country, the experts will meet all relevant stakeholders such as the Ministries of Natural Resources and Energy and that of Commerce, Trade, and Industry. Indonesia\u2019s 80 per cent of its power is currently generated from its vast fields of coal,\u201d it was stated.<\/p>\n

Upon completion of its mission in Eswatini, the Indonesian team will meet His Majesty King Mswati III and present a preliminary report which they will also take to the President.<\/p>\n
