Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Central Transport Administration (CTA) stands to make a change and have an impactful year as there is a newly appointed manager.<\/b><\/p>\n

Mduduzi Lukhele was announced by the Principal Secretary (PS) of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport Thulani Mkhaliphi.<\/p>\n

Lukhele has been appointed General Transport Manager (GTM) of the Central CTA. Amongst his duties, Lukhele is expected to give a new strategic direction to improve the operational efficiency of the department.<\/p>\n

The CTA has been cited several times in the Auditor General\u2019s report for inefficiencies and as a drain to Government. Lukhele replaces Washington Khumalo who retired in August last year.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mkhaliphi said his appointment came at a time when CTA was due for a change the PS assured the public that the Government garage was going to make a change despite the harsh and accusing headlines they have faced in the past.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith this new manager, we are going to make sure we turn around the organisations and we look into fixing old mistakes. These will include the proper usage of government cars and fuel issues,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In addition to that, he said they were aware of the problems currently happening at the establishment but it would be a failure of fair accountability if they were to pin it on anyone. He said they were working on eradicating any issue that may still exist.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone is aware of the hiccups at CTA but those will soon be a thing of the pastas we are entrusting Lukhele here to help us solve them and keep the ship afloat at all times,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
