Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Mduduzi Mkhonta of Matsamo in the Hhohho region was, in the early hours on Saturday,heavily assaulted by King Mswati\u2019s soldiers and subsequently shot and killed at or near Mashobeni merely for traveling at night.<\/b><\/p>\n

This comes a few weeks after this publication reported that Wonder Gama, a well-known Mbabane mechanic was sprayed with petrol on the face,and subsequently set alight by Mswati\u2019s police merely for traveling at night,Wonder Gama is the son to former Hhukwini Member of Parliament(MP) Stezi Gama.<\/p>\n

Mduduzi Mkhonta\u2019s brother Thembinkosi Shongwe confirmed the death of his brother adding that he was killed by soldiers for traveling at night.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy brother was killed at or near Mashobeni while on his way home, he was from a bar known as Kashushu and was traveling with others. He was first assaulted and thereafter,one of the soldiers suggested that he must be shot death, litsite lelisotja sale icedziswa lenja\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

It has been disclosed that the soldiers normally patrol the boarder line and surrounding areas at night in search for underground forces who are alleged to be smuggling guns to eSwatini.<\/p>\n

A questionnaire was sent to Lieutenant Tengetile Khumalo,the Army Spokesperson,however,she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

Reached for comments,Sibongile Mazibuko, the President of the Ngwane National Liberatory Congress(NNLC) appealed to international human rights organizations to investigate the ongoing killings of innocent civilians by King Mswati\u2019s soldiers,the police and mercenaries.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is more concerning is that the recent killings involve innocent people who are not even active in politics,\u201d said the NNLC President.<\/p>\n
