Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>A total of 23 Eswatini companies were reported to be partaking in the trilateral exhibition, World Trade Center Mumbai (WTC), in India. These include Ngwenya Glass, Inyatsi Construction, Leather Crafters Association, Sundale Steel, Tintsambo Craft, Khokho Collection and Swazi Glass among others.<\/p>\n

According to the Marketing Assistant at the High Commission of India (HCI) Cebile Dlamini, the WTC extended an invitation to Southern African Customs Union (SACU) to partake in the trade opportunities in India and SACU online exhibition which began on January 7 and expected to end in March 31. The SACU members include Eswatini, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Lesotho.<\/p>\n

The WTC also partnered with Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA), HCI Mbabane, Mangaung Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Consulate General of India Johannesburg.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe exhibition has become a reality because of the pro-active role taken by the High Commission of India to connect WTC Mumbai with the ministry of commerce and EIPA in motivating them to organise such an event for the benefit of mutual parties,\u201d Dlamini said.<\/p>\n

She added that the participation of Emaswati in the exhibition would be of great benefit for the MSME sector.<\/p>\n

Opportunity<\/p>\n

\u201cThis will give them the opportunity to showcase their products and services on this platform. It will also bring these MSMEs exposure to the international markets,\u201d she said. Dlamini stated that thus far there were 100 exhibitors participating, 500 products being showcased from the six countries participating over 2 000 visitors and over 50 buyer-seller meets matchmakings.<\/p>\n

\u201cWTC opens doors to leading opportunities in international markets by serving as a guide on market trends. It facilitates in strategising business goals, branding and developing an effective long term partnership. WTC Mumbai has built strong bridges of communication with diplomatic missions, business leaders, bankers, academicians and key government agencies and policy makers,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The invitation to partake in this exhibition was extended to the public and member companies from different sectors as well as those looking into collaborating with Indian companies.<\/p>\n

The exhibition offers virtual 2D stall, online buyer-seller meets (B2B), online webinar and online delegate participation. Products that are exhibited include those in ; agro and food processing, clothing textile and footwear, art and handicraft, engineering industrial machinery and construction, jewellery and accessories, safety and security, metals and mining, travel and tourism. Participants include manufactures, exporters, importers and distributors.<\/p>\n

\u201cWTC Mumbai believes in inclusive engagement for effective promotion of trade and investment in the country,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n
