{"id":27011,"date":"2023-05-24T08:17:05","date_gmt":"2023-05-24T08:17:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/eswatini\/?p=27011"},"modified":"2023-05-24T07:50:23","modified_gmt":"2023-05-24T07:50:23","slug":"pudemo-msunduza-branch-donates-a-wheelchair-to-disabled-resident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/eswatini\/all-news\/pudemo-msunduza-branch-donates-a-wheelchair-to-disabled-resident","title":{"rendered":"PUDEMO Msunduza branch donates a wheelchair to disabled resident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span><b>The People&#8217;s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) Msunduza branch has donated a brand new wheelchair to a disabled resident of the area Mthokozisi Khumalo.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>It has been disclosed that Khumalo was stabbed and assaulted in the spinal cord area in 2013 on his way from work after being robbed.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the gravity of the injuries in the spinal cord and the country\u2019s poor health system, Khumalo was forced into disability.<\/p>\n<p>The wheelchair was handed over by PUDEMO Msunduza branch Chairperson Majahonkhe Rasta Dlamini and other members of the branch.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the press after handing over the wheelchair the PUDEMO Msunduza branch Chairperson said as PUDEMO they will continue to offer practical support to the less privileged in society.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is part of our programme of action to offer practical support to the less privileged in society. This is just a beginning. We have identified a lot of poor and oppressed people not only in Msunduza but across the country. We are not doing this such for our own glory.
