These were the comments made by Eswatini Football Association ( EFA) Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe, who said the development of football at grassroots level was one of the significant components inasfar as the football industry was concerned. Muzi said these remarks on Wednesday morning at the Scara Foundation soccer presentation and draw at Mountain View in Ezulwini.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn order for football or sports to develop, a lot of resources are needed, of which playing equipment is one of them. Let me take this opportunity to acknowledge KFC for the investment in sports through the Scara Thindwa Foundation. In fact, this is not only an investment to football per se, but an investment to the socio-economy of the country as sports teaches you character. It teaches you to play by the rules. It teaches you to know what it feels like to win and lose. It teaches you about life and that is why I can boldly say, football is a school for life,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Radebe went on to applaud the participants of this programme and urged the youth to take it seriously. \u201cI want to urge the youth to take football seriously.When they can do that they can be able to end up earning a living through sports just like the patron of this foundation Absalom \u2018Scara\u2019 Thindwa and other athletes around the globe,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

We also urge other organisation to do what KFC has done by investing towards the development of football or sports in general in order for the country to produce more athletes who can represent the country globally and by so doing, they will market Eswatini internationally,\u201d the marketing and communications officer said. Meanwhile, the launch was graced by the presence of many prominent people who included others KFC Eswatini CEO Nigel England, and Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) EOCGA President Adam Bomber Mthethwa, among others.<\/p>\n
