Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Muzi Dlamini, the Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation(EPTC) General Manager Finance, might go home after the government parastatal refused to renew his contract of employment.<\/b><\/p>\n

Dlamini was allegedly implicated in the disappearance of R16million within the public company, he was General Manager Finance(GMF) when the cyber-crime was allegedly committed and the case never saw the light of the day.<\/p>\n

But, it could not be ascertained if the company\u2019s decision not to renew Dlamini’s contract was influenced by his alleged failure to ensure the safety of the company funds.<\/p>\n

The public company was marred by allegations of corruption, fraud and money laundering ever since Dlamini took over as the head of its Finance Department.<\/p>\n

It has been disclosed that the once powerful, influential and politically connected former Prime Minister\u2019s son is highly expected to leave the company next month.<\/p>\n

A questionnaire was sent to the Eswatini Telecommunications General Manager Finance, however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

Reached for comments, Themba Khumalo, the Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation(EPTC) Managing Director(MD) described the matter as personal,involving the employee hence Dlamini was better positioned to comment.<\/p>\n

\u201cUtsini yena, kungaba kahle utsintse yena, ayikhulumise ngoba yindzaba lentsintsa yena, ngeke kulunge ikhulunywe ngimi(meaning: It\u2019s better to contact him for a comment, this matter involves him hence it wouldn\u2019t be proper for me to comment),\u201d said the EPTC Managing Director when responding to questions on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

Former Minister Mtiti Fakudze is the Board Chairperson of the Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation(EPTC).<\/p>\n

The Eswatini Telecoms Board Chairperson told on Sunday that they mandated and\/or entrusted the Managing Director to ensure that the public company was productive and self-sustainable.<\/p>\n

\u201dIt\u2019s true Nkhosi that as the Board, we entrusted the MD to ensure that the company is self-sustainable and so far, he is doing-well. As we speak, we have a turn-around strategy that was submitted to Cabinet and we are waiting for the elders(Cabinet) to approve it. This company has a potential to be productive and compete in the Information Technology (IT), all that was needed was good leadership,\u201d said the EPTC Board Chairperson.<\/p>\n
