Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Taiwan has recently donated medical supplies to Eswatini to help combat the ongoing pandemic.<\/b><\/p>\n

The donation from Taiwan Embassy and Taiwan Medical Mission included items such as facial masks, isolation gowns, and COVID-19 test kits, among other essential medical supplies.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Liang handed over some of the donation items to the Ministry of Health Principal Secretary.<\/p>\n

He said this was their way of showing special commitment to Eswatini and ensuring everyone\u2019s health was taken care of.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt pleases the Embassy to help where we can, especially where COVID-19 is concerned. We hope these donations go a long way in helping the Ministry of Health curb COVID-19,\u201d said the Ambassador.<\/p>\n

Worth noting is that Eswatini has experienced a surge in COVID-19 cases, with over 16 000 confirmed cases and over 600 deaths as of June 2023.<\/p>\n

The donation of medical supplies from Taiwan will help bolster the country\u2019s healthcare system and improve its ability to respond to the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Taiwan has been actively providing medical aid and assistance to the Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile a practising Doctor, without breaking patient and doctor confidentiality said, they were still receiving cases of COVID-19 some severe some not.<\/p>\n

He warned people to continue practising safe precautions, everywhere they go or might be.<\/p>\n

\u201cCOVID-19 is not over, we still need to wear masks, wash our hands and social distance especially now that we are experiencing a season change,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
