Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Nozizwe Mulela, the Managing Director of the Eswatini Bank has, on behalf of the financial institution,announced five-hundred thousand Rands(R500,000.00) sponsorship for the Schools Choral Music Competition.<\/b><\/p>\n

The sponsorship was announced on Tuesday at the Eswatini Bank Headquarters,Auditorium in Mbabane.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the event, the Eswatini Bank Managing Director said this year marks the 18th edition of the Schools Choral Music Competition, the bank is partnering with Eswatini Schools Choral Music Association.<\/p>\n

\u201cLadies and gentlemen, we have seen our young pupils pursuing careers in music on the international stage in places such as the United States, South Africa amongst others. All these being products of the Eswatini Bank Schools Choral Music Competition. From this perspective, as a country I believe we will continue to unearth more talent through this programme.It must be highlighted that the 2023 competition is now decentralized to all four regions of the country with the aim of inciting excitement and to show choristers that all are welcome to compete,\u201d said the Managing Director.<\/p>\n

Reached for comments,Mbongwa Dlamini, the President of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) applauded the bank for supporting talents in schools.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuch sponsorships by the Eswatini Bank should be applauded and encouraged because the education system globally is migrating to what is known as Competency Based Education(CBE).This means, students will be graded based on their skills and talents. So, when we see companies like Swazi Bank promoting and supporting talents in schools, we are excited,\u201d said the SNAT President.<\/p>\n
