Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Deputy Prime Minister Themba Nhlanganiso Masuku has come out to congratulate His Majesty King Mswati III on a successful 8th SACU Summit.<\/b><\/p>\n

When sharing his highlights and sentiments, Masuku said that in his opinion the Summit was both educational and eye-opening to the work SACU member states had laid out for them.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe positive implementation of this initiative needs programmes that can be as successful as SACU. They do realise that the vehicles of trade such as SACU were not built in one day, but we trust that they will be developed gradually,\u201d said Masuku.<\/p>\n

He further made an example of how each SACU member state could assemble parts of a car, while the other member state manufactures the whole.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all need to come together at the table and work together to achieve a good economy and many more. Especially as Eswatini, I was pleased to hear his Majesty speak of such developments and thank all those who were responsible for carrying out the new architecture of declaring goods at the point of entry. This has come at an opportune time when the continent is working towards trading under the AfCFTA,\u201d said Masuku. The official opening has been attended by SACU Heads of State and Governments, including RSA President Cyril Ramaphosa, Lesotho Prime Minister Sam Maketane, Namibia Prime Minister Kuugongelwa-Amadhila and Botswana Minister of Trade and Industry Mmusi Kgafela.<\/p>\n
