After a run of poor results, Green Mamba have roped in the services of former Mbabane Highlanders coach Ernest Mavuso as their head coach, replacing Dumsani \u2018DU\u2019 Makhanya, who became the fifth coach to be shown the exit door this season. Other coaches who have been sacked include Zimbabwean coach, Bigboy Mawiwi, who was with Denver Sundowns, Ernest Mavuso (Highlanders), Nyanga \u2018Crooks\u2019 Hlophe (Manzini Wanderers) and Terasayi Chapinga (Callies). Mavuso was shown the exit door at the black and white outfit of Mbabane after leading them in nine consecutive games without a win. He was replaced by Former TS Sporting and Sikhukhune United assistant coach Selaotse \u2018Sly\u2019 Mosala. Inyoka eluhlazana Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mandla Sibiya confirmed the capture of Mavuso, to replace coach Makhanya.<\/p>\n

The Sitsebe Samhlekazi coach joined the Correctional side at the start of the current 2021\/22 MTN Premier League season, filling the void that was left by coach Caleb Ngwenya, who joined rookies Vovovo. \u201cYes it\u2019s true that we have relieved Makhanya of his duties and we have signed Ernest Makhanya as our new coach to lead us in the second round,\u201d Sibiya confirmed. He said the former Moneni Pirates coach would be assisted by Sandile Lulane, who has worked with Mavuso for a number of times in different clubs. \u201cThe coaches started drilling the side today and we are hopeful that they will take the team to a respectful position on the log,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Long<\/p>\n

Sibiya could not reveal how long the duo coaches would be engaged with the team, as he said this was an issue between an employer and an employee. \u201cWhat I can tell you is that these are young coaches and we are still going to have them here for a long time,\u201d he elaborated. The new Correctional Services side coach could not be drawn for comment by the time this report was compiled as his phone was not available on the network. Mavuso\u2019s first assignment at Green Mamba is an away MTN Premier League match against Mbabane Swallows.<\/p>\n
