Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Senior Superintendent Nhlanhla Mbingo, the then Matsapha Prison Deputy Officer-in Charge, who was part of the warders who allegedly assaulted incarcerated pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube, is allegedly on stage four(4) cancer and as a result, doctors have recommended that he must be bedridden.<\/b><\/p>\n

It was widely reported that the MPs were rushed to Manzini Clinic after the assault, and the Correctional Services authorities subsequently claimed that, minimum force was used on the inmates during what was described as a search.<\/p>\n

Now, \u2018privileged\u2019 information in possession of this publication suggests that Mbingo is allegedly on his last days on earth, eSwatini is facing a health crisis and security officers have been at the centre of fighting those calling for democracy including the right to health-care.<\/p>\n

The senior Correctional Services Officer who was later transferred to Manzini Remand Centre, did not respond when reached for comments on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

When asked to share a comment and clarify what stage four(4) means, health expect Mayibongwe Masangwane, the Secretary General of the Swaziland Democratic Nurses Union(SWADNU) said stage four(4) cancer \u201cis the last stage\u201d before the patient dies.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen a patient is on stage four(4), that means he might die anytime, going to hospital is just for medical treatment to minimize the pain, otherwise, that patient is awaiting death,\u201d said the health expert.<\/p>\n
