Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>In a remarkable display of commitment to employee growth and development, the Eswatini Water Services Corporation (EWSC) on Friday celebrated the graduation of its first cohort from the Management Development Programme (MDP).<\/b><\/p>\n

This milestone event marks a significant achievement in equipping EWSC managers with leadership skills to excel in today’s performance-demanding environment.<\/p>\n

The custom-designed management development programme was launched by the corporation last year and designed internally to align with the corporation\u2019s goals, challenges and opportunities. The design process took to cognisance the most critical areas of EWSC business that requires attention and developed specific modules to address them.<\/p>\n

The programme covers a wide spectrum of key leadership courses, from Leading a Customer Centric Organisation, Leading Change with Foresight for Growth, Problem solving through Integrated Lean 6 Sigma, Performance Management and Personal Mastery to mention a few.<\/p>\n

Qualified<\/p>\n

The programme is delivered by a team of highly-qualified and experienced trainers from South Africa and Eswatini, including Professor Basil Leonard, Professor Rija, Human Capital Development Facilitator Futhi Sibiya, Business Process Improvement Specialist Moses Khumalo, Human Capital Strategist Mncedzi Ngomane, Diversity and Inclusion Specialist Dominic Gaobepe and Accounts & Finance Lecturer at UNESWA Mfundo Msibi.<\/p>\n

The graduation ceremony was attended by acting Minister of Natural Resources and Energy Jabulani Mabuza, who stated that Cabinet has approved EWSC\u2019s Strategic Direction, which included the implementation of the Organisational Design project.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis strategy heightened Cabinet\u2019s expectations of service delivery from EWSC, as it promises to ensure the corporation is adequately resourced with the right skills to deliver against the mandate given,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The minister highlighted that EWSC forms an integral part of the government\u2019s infrastructure towards the delivery of Sustainable Development Goal 6 and thus the corporation is a key contributor to the national development agenda.<\/p>\n

EWSC Managing Director Jabulile Mashwama commended the graduates for their dedication and perseverance in successfully completing the MDP.<\/p>\n

She stated that government has entrusted EWSC with a critical mandate in the country\u2019s economy and is counting on the corporation to deliver clean water and sanitation services to Emaswati \u201cIt is through perseverance, determination and a relentless pursuit of excellence that we will deliver the mandate which has been bestowed on us and incidentally it is also how you, as individuals, will rise through the corporate ladder\u201d Mashwama said.<\/p>\n

The MDP graduates have not only elevated their own capabilities but have also become ambassadors of leadership excellence within the corporation. Their success has inspired the launch of the second cohort of the programme, ensuring a continuous pipeline of talented leaders equipped to tackle the dynamic demands of the industry.<\/p>\n

Vice Chancellor of the University of Eswatini Professor Justice Thwala expressed his sincere gratitude to the EWSC leadership for their invaluable partnership and support in making the MDP a resounding success.<\/p>\n

“The MDP has been a transformative journey, sensitising our students to the dynamic changes in the business environment at both macro and micro levels.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has provided them with a unique opportunity to explore diverse leadership perspectives from Eswatini and around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Human Resources and Customer Experience Manager Nomahlubi Matiwane stated that the MDP was the managing director\u2019s brainchild and makes tangible the corporation\u2019s Employee Value Proposition.<\/p>\n

EWSC promises growth and development and a challenging work environment to its employees, therefore this and other employee development initiatives are being implemented by the corporation to make the EVP real.<\/p>\n
