Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>THULASIZWE Dlamini, the appointed councillor in the Nhlangano town council believes for any place to be called a town, there should be development.<\/b><\/p>\n

Dlamini who is one of the two appointees of Minister of Housing and Urban Development Prince Simelane said his wish was to see Nhlangano growing and becoming a city within the period they would be in office.<\/p>\n

The other appointee is businessman Dion Anderson who has been appointed three times in a row. Dlamini, who is former under secretary in the ministry, said it was important to see development taking place in all towns.<\/p>\n

\u201cA town is a hub of growth and it\u2019s where development should be. It is my wish to see all the towns in the country developing and as councillors that is what we need to strive for. My wish is to see Nhlangano pushing to have its own identity,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Dlamini said his wish was to see tourists visiting Eswatini to make Nhlangano a stop just as is the case with people who, when visiting South Africa, have Johannesburg in the picture.<\/p>\n

\u201cNhlangano is destined to be a popular town, there is a massive project which has been launched by the minister. The project I am talking about is the E300 million shopping mall which is part of the development at the bus rank. This project, I believe, will put Nhlangano on the map and there is no doubt about that.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe project will be completed within the five-year period of our stay in office. That project is our trumpcard and will definitely attract investors to Nhlangano,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
