Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Family Care Clinic, powered by Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) is offering free medical assistance twice a week for three months.<\/b><\/p>\n

This was declared by Family Care Clinic Administration Coordinator Bridget Msweli, who stated that the promotion would run for the duration of the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology semester six public relations students internship period.<\/p>\n

She stated that the promotion was a result of a campaign run by the students themed \u2018Your health is important\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe campaign advocates for the importance of seeking medical assistance from a doctor as opposed to over the counter medications,\u201d said Msweli.<\/p>\n

She stated that clients who would visit the clinic during the campaign will receive free consultation with a once-off cover charge of E100 for opening a clinic card.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn arrival, clients will be asked how they found out about the promotion, and those who have received the information based on that campaign will only be charged for the clinic card and then receive consultation for free, thereafter,\u201d said Msweli.<\/p>\n

She stated that the promotion would apply for walk-ins on Mondays and Fridays for three months.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are benefits of seeing a doctor as opposed to self-diagnosing such as the fact that a doctor can diagnose other symptoms which cannot be seen by an untrained eye, such as paleness or dehydration but to name a few,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Msweli stated that the doctor could then delve deep into the case, which would allow them to give you that correct diagnosis.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce diagnosed by a doctor, a client can be prescribed the correct medication since the same symptoms\u2019 medication can vary on a case by case basis,\u201d said Msweli.<\/p>\n

Adding, \u201cDoctors can also see the emotional state of a person, which enables them to further assist in that regard as well giving them confidence and self-awareness.\u201d<\/p>\n

LUCT PR and Events Management Leap Advisor Nsindiso Tsabedze stated that the university had deployed 10 Public Relations students to give the campaign the mileage it required to reach its full potential.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are grateful to Family Care Clinic who have engulfed 10 of our students in their internship year to assist them in implementing the campaign ensuring that it reached its\u2019 full potential,\u201d said Tsabedze.<\/p>\n

He stated that this was following the clinic\u2019s request to the university for the skillset, which fortunately the students possess as they make their way into the workforce.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe university supplied the clinic with students, who possess the required skillset to run the campaign and ensure its success,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Adding, \u201cThis partnership will also allow the university to link the clinic with other internal companies with other skillsets they may require which are formed by students,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Tsabedze further added that the link with the internal companies would be on a consultancy basis.<\/p>\n
