{"id":30884,"date":"2023-07-28T09:00:38","date_gmt":"2023-07-28T09:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/eswatini\/?p=30884"},"modified":"2023-07-28T09:09:12","modified_gmt":"2023-07-28T09:09:12","slug":"transport-union-successfully-negotiates-6-5-salary-increment-for-cargo-carriers-employees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/eswatini\/all-news\/transport-union-successfully-negotiates-6-5-salary-increment-for-cargo-carriers-employees","title":{"rendered":"Transport Union successfully negotiates 6.5% salary increment for Cargo Carriers employees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span><b>Sticks Nkambule, the Secretary General of the Swaziland Transport, Communications and Allied Workers Union(SWATCAWU) has confirmed that, the trade union successfully negotiated a 6.5% salary increment for Cargo Carriers Swaziland employees.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In a public statement sent on Wednesday afternoon, Nkambule applauded Cargo Carriers for prioritizing employees with the Collective Bargaining Agreement(CBA).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSWATCAWU an affiliate of the Trade Union Congress of Swaziland (TUCOSWA) and the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) in this July 2023 concluded and signed a one (1) year Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with Cargo Carriers Swaziland.The CBA among other provisions it grants Workers a 6.5% pay-rise across the board, effective April 01st 2023 and an increase for all corresponding allowances by 3.5%.
