Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>King Mswati addressed warders and high profile guests during the Correctional Services Day on Friday, he warned aspiring Members of Parliament(MPs) to refrain from murdering citizens for ritual purposes with the hope of securing a Parliament seat.<\/b><\/p>\n

Well,it seems Mswati has concluded that, all citizens of this country are fools such that, we cannot read between the lines what this statement means.<\/p>\n

The prime suspect in ritual murders in the country is the King himself, he allegedly established a ritual murder team that includes soldiers, the police and Ludzidzini Palace traditional healers.<\/p>\n

I once interviewed one of the soldiers who was part of the King\u2019s ritual team, we agreed that, the recorded interview \u201cwill be released\u201d in due course.<\/p>\n

Ayanda Dlamini of Nyanyali was tortured by a battalion of police merely for demanding her child who disappeared during Incwala ceremony in December 2020.<\/p>\n

The police subsequently refused to investigate the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the child but instead, attacked the victim who was grieving after unknown men allegedly linked to royalty grabbed Ayanda Dlamini\u2019s child.<\/p>\n

The King cannot therefore, warn aspiring MPs on ritual murders, we are not blinded and we fully understand that after this statement, we might see ritual murder cases escalating.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s true, we have alleged ritual murderers in the country but,one of them is Mswati who has been harvesting human parts during these times of elections with the State controlled media shifting the allegations to aspiring Members of Parliament(MPs).<\/p>\n

It should be noted that hundreds have been murdered for alleged ritual purposes since the establishment of the Tinkhundla system, the police released statistics and if it\u2019s true that it is only aspiring MPs who are responsible, local prison would be flooded with convicts from the House of Parliament.<\/p>\n

The fact that we don\u2019t have MPs who were arrested and convicted for ritual murder suggest that, even though the narrative suggesting that aspiring MPs are involved in ritual murder might be true but questionable, the truth is, it is exaggerated.<\/p>\n

Therefore, when an alleged ritual murderer like King Mswati who enjoys absolute power with prosecution immunity, utters such sentiments, we have valid reasons to be worried.<\/p>\n
