Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>That is the story of former Mbabane Swallows goalkeeper Sandile \u2018Nkomishi\u2019 Ginindza, who has parted ways with the club, after his contract was not renewed. The former Sihlangu shot-stopper returned to the club after completing a switch as a prodigal son back in 2020. He was signed from South Africa\u2019s GladAfrica Championship (now Motsepe Foundation Championship side) Mbombela United. The former Manzini Wanderers player is said to have left the capital city giants due to contractual issues, after making his last appearance for \u2018Umkhonto KaShaka \u2019 during the team\u2019s preseason win in the game against Siphofaneni pick team, which was played last month.<\/p>\n

A source within the Mbabane giants\u2019 camp revealed that \u2018Nkomishi\u2019 was no longer in the club. \u201cHe is no longer in the club and has not even been coming to training since last week. He didn\u2019t even travel with the team to Witbank,\u201d the source said. Another source went on to mention that the talented goalie, who rejoined the club from Mbombela United together with Sabelo \u2018Sikhali\u2019 Ndzinisa, Felix \u2018Fela\u2019 Badenhorst and Banele \u2018Pupu\u2019 Sikhondze, left the club after his contract elapsed. \u201cHis contract was not renewed and he is not in the plans of the coach for the new season,\u201d the source shared. \u2018Nkomishi\u2019, when interviewed yesterday, confirmed the latest developments. \u201cMy contract was not renewed,\u201d he said briefly.<\/p>\n

Swallows General Manager Sandile \u2018Beyond 2000\u2019 Zwane confirmed the goalkeeper\u2019s exit in yesterday\u2019s Sports Show programme on Eswatini Broadcasting and Information Services (EBIS). The former South Africa\u2019s Sivutsa goalkeeper remains one of the most decorated players to have played in the club. He is the member of the record – breaking Mbabane Swallows, which went on a 51-league unbeaten run from May 15, 2016 to September 30, 2018. The goalkeeper was also part of the squad that reached the group stages of both the CAF Confederations Cup and Champions league under the directorship of astute businessman, the late Victor Gamedze.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, \u2018Nkomishi\u2019 joins the growing list of senior players who have left Swallows. They include central midfielder Xolani \u2018Papi\u2019 Sikhondze, striker Bashir Mutanda, grafter Mohamed Kabia and veteran winger Wonder \u2018Samba Jive\u2019 Nhleko.<\/p>\n
